Hello,

I am one of those with one foot outside SY. I felt the need to tell you what I still feel/experience in SY. I have no reason to lie, so please don't attack me - this is what I feel, it is my experience.

I've been in it over 20 years. I feel chakra catches of myself and others. When I do pluck up the courage to ask others (approx. 1/3rd of the time) about their health/emotions, it has been spot on every time - the chakra and the related problem/ailment.

I have stopped the aches and pains of many others -coworkers/ employees, friends, sahaja yogis. In particular many in my large corporation come to me for help with their headaches and other minor ailments. I know this is frowned upon, but I do it for free - and it helps our company's bottom line.

Now for why one foot is out of SY. It's the people who are "in charge". Except for the odd one, the majority are not at all saint- like or compassionate. In fact many rank and file S Yogis behave like Nazis - especially ones from Austria.

Also, there is very little emphasis in the US on meditation - it is all external. Then there is the politics, the lies and the cover- ups. Don't they realize that we still retain a modicum of intelligence?

Any experienced S Yogis on this site are welcome to explain these major problems, and suggest solutions.

And, please, I am writing in all seriousness and sincerity, so please respond in kind.

Dear John,

The Kundalini energy is real; which is why you can feel the energy of others. The effects of the energy are not dependant on your belonging to an organisation which is blatantly corrupt. Never let other people tell you what you should be doing, and how to behave; just be true to yourself.

Meditation is a private experience between you and God, and cannot be controlled and organised by other people.

first of all......thanks for sharing ur experience....

its been around 4 years since the time i received my SY realisation.....there have been many doubts....many hurdles.....but the feeling of the kundalini never dies out......that is what keeps me going......i too have met certain SYogis who don't behave in the so called saintly/compassionate manner......but i have met a few gems too......who stick to the real sense of Sahaj......beyond the institution......i strongly feel that SY is not a religion or an institution......yes a sort of organising body is required in order to carry out the various pujas, programmes etc.....but this aspect is present only for the spread of the SY technique.......this is not the actual true form of SY.....SY is much more deep......so there is no need to pay attention to the disturbing elements.......in the end it comes down to the self....to the meditation.....where one is thoughtless......without being a part of the institution......and we r still walking on the path......maybe the whole thing will solve itself up after we reach where we r suppose to reach thru the meditation.......all these hurdles/negative/opposing elements are just stones in our path which should be experienced and left alone after we have learnt our lesson.......we shouldn't stay involved in them for too long.......we have to move on.....because i feel that there is always something more to achieve if we choose not to stop growing......

so stay cool......stay calm......forgive me if i have disturbed anyone thru my words.......

i wonder if anyone will have one foot out of Sahaja Yoga after 20 years is he/she thoroughly understood what it is all about. Sure i will be willing to leave anytime if it is about meditation and healing. That we have SYs like John with one foot still out after two decades is testimony to the enormous damage the present deeply entrenched subtle system is inflicting on its practitioners. It distorts intellectual reasoning, impairs judgment and dissipates spiritual strength critically needed in this century of instant mass communications. By this i mean the practitioners of subtle system Sahaja Yoga become impotent against those questioning the religious validity and divine credentials of its founder. That is why we have management SYs devising all sorts of ruses and baits to entice seekers. Improved health is one of the much touted benefits of Sahaya Yoga. That is why many are the Jack of all trades. Only a few like John have become masters - experts at chakra analysis and healing.

But we have extremely few SYs, perhaps a handful only, who can openly state that Sahaja Yoga is all about the Divine Message of the Last Judgment delivered by the Adi Shakti. Even members here are still reluctant to use such words to articulate their faith.

If 20 years ago John had understood the Divine Message he would have far greater strength to stand and announce his conviction. He would have had the courage to openly denounce all who were suppressing the truth, even if it meant expulsion. He would have the self-realization to know that he was at all times meditating and seeking guidance from the eternal Shakti residing within, not Her incarnation Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi without. He would have the wisdom to be his own master and not fear/follow any `leader'. He would have had both feet firmly planted in the Truth, with roots so deep that no force can uproot them.

But we have begun on our forums and websites to put the past behind us and begun a renaissance, albeit yet in its infancy. All we need are more people who have the conscience to rebel against "the politics, the lies and the cover-ups." Only those who have faith in the Divine Message are going to establish the advent of Shri Mataji before She leaves. The subtle system SYs are NOT going to do anything about the Divine Message because they are influenced to collectively take part in "the politics, the lies and the cover- ups" of the management SYs and WCASY. We have evidence to back what we are saying. Even John makes no mention of it in his protest despite 20 years in Sahaja Yoga. Do we SYs truly understand the magnitude of what we have collectively brought upon ourselves?

Once a person has clearly understood the Divine message and its implications, and personally experienced the power of the eternal Spirit within, they will realise that the magnitude of this truth is impossible to be confined to an organisation, and will follow the guidance of the Spirit within only. The awareness that each person is a part of the One living Spirit, and that this Spirit is within us, gives us comfort and courage to openly declare and protect the truth.
